Milad-un-Nabi celebrated with fervor

On January 26, 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad also celebrated the blessed Milad-un-Nabi SAW 1434 H. Embassy officials, their families and members of the Indonesian community attended the program in large number that held to mark the auspicious occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Mr. Burhan Muhammad highlighted the significance of Milad un Nabi and said that the day is celebrated to show our respect and love to our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to reaffirm our commitment to continue to make efforts to brighten our days and nights in the light of the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that it is our prayer to Allah Almighty that He gives us the determination to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and give us the courage to stay true to our faith.

Next was the lecture delivered by Mr. Muladi Mugheni who discussed the Holy Prophet’s (Peace Be Upon Him) message of peace, justice, fairness, equality and brotherhood for the whole world.

On the occasion Mr. Samsu Rizal, Minister Counsellor Politics and his family, Mr. Otto Rakhim Gani Third Secretary Economics and his family, Mr. Ahmad Supratman, Private Secretary to the Ambassador and Ms. Fero, Private Secretary to Madam Lilis Burhan Muhammad were introduced to the Indonesian community. The community warmly welcomed the newly arrived officials in Islamabad and expressed best wishes to them in their official undertakings.

The program concluded with the lovely recitation of salutation and praising songs to the Prophet by the Indonesian students of the International Islamic University Islamabad.
